Grow a £ Challenge
Our flagship ‘Grow a £ Challenge’ invites pupils to embark on a year of fundraising by starting with £1 and making it grow any which way they can! This encourages entrepreneurial skills and inspires pupils to think outside of the box to come up with innovative ideas. Students have in the past held bake sales, made and sold their own products and organised events for Grove Cottage.
One off fundraising events and initiatives
We understand that for some schools our Grow a £ Challenge may be more than they are wishing to take on and many wish to fundraise for a variety of causes throughout the year. We are grateful for all schools that fundraise for us, whether that be over a whole year or just day per year.

Sponsored sporting challenges such as runs, walks and cycles around school grounds.

What we will do for you
We would be delighted to come in and offer a talk to the school about the work of Grove Cottage and the difference that your support makes to us. Within primary schools these talks are often a great opportunity to teach the children about learning disabilities and what they mean. Within secondary schools these presentations are a wonderful way to encourage entrepreneurial skills and help students get an understanding of the third sector.
Once you have commenced fundraising we are able to supply you with collection buckets, tins and sponsorship forms should you need them. If you decide to hold an event in aid of Grove Cottage we can supply you with branded banners and may be able to attend the event and give a thank you speech to everyone in attendance.
