It costs around £600,000 to run Grove Cottage each year and although we are affiliated with Mencap we receive no funding from the national body. Your donations therefore mean a lot to us; we simply could not continue without support from the local community.
Your support allows us to continue offering social and educational activities to help develop potential, avoid social isolation by supporting lifelong friendships, and to provide respite for our members’ families.

- The gift of communication through our Speech and Language Therapy programme
- Fun weekend and holiday clubs for children and young people

- Life skills and friendship at the GC@Thirst community café
- Specialist interest groups for older teenagers and adults including Music Man Project Hertfordshire, Get Active sports club, Performing Arts club, and Grove Grows gardening sessions.
