The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Across Grove Cottage we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in true Grove Cottage style! The Nursery had a lovely tea party and made lots of decorations including a marvellous photo prop of the Queen.

Our Performing Arts Club members prepared their very own Queen’s Speeches, our Adult members at Southmill Arts made brilliant Scarecrows for the Manuden Scarecrow Trail and our Saturday clubs made lots of jubilee decorations.

We also held two Jubilee Parties – one for children which included a visit from The Laughter Specialists and one for adults, where they enjoyed a good old boogie and our members raised £122 in a raffle to raise money for The DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Celebrations like these showcase the amazing special community we have here at Grove Cottage and we would like to thank all the staff and volunteers that helped make these events extra special.
