A Better Building for a Brighter Future

Help us rebuild Grove Cottage to create a modern, accessible and safe space for local people with learning disabilities and special additional needs.

A New Home for Grove Cottage

Grove Cottage’s mission is to help individuals reach their potential, reduce social isolation and provide respite for families.

Our services include:
  • Ofsted regulaed SEND nursery
  • Speech and language therapy
  • Out-of-school clubs
  • Clubs for older teens & adults

What started as a small initiative in 1966 has grown into a vital hub supporting over 180 individuals and their families every year. After 60 years, a new, modern facility is urgently needed. This rebuild will allow us to continue supporting our community now and in the future.

Thanks to the generous support of the Crabb family (read their story) and other generous individuals and organisations, we’ve raised almost £2.35 million of the £2.5 million needed to create our new home. We now need your help to close the gap.

Please help us make a lasting impact on the lives of local people with learning disabilities.

Download our brochure to learn more about our project.

Although we are an affiliate of Mencap, we receive no funding from them, and government funding only covers a small portion of our costs.
