Grove Cottage in the Park!

Our ‘Grove Cottage in the Park’ is an exciting food and music festival taking place in Sworders Field in Bishop’s Stortford from 12pm until 8pm on Saturday 3^rd September 2022.

There will be a Food and Drink Festival with a wide variety of food and drink stalls including Ques Idea Mexican Kitchen, Smok’n Greek, Amerio’s Bar, The Really Good Sausage Co and Waffle & Floss.

There will also be a selection of live music from local bands including Livewire Rock Academy, De Rosa, Grove Cottage Performing Arts Club, Woodwind of Stortford, Bishop’s Stortford Gospel Choir, Steve Young and the Real Time Players and a Kids’ Zone to entertain younger members of the family.

Then from around 6pm, stand-up comedy legend and actor Paddy Lennox will be taking centre stage with his mischievous sense of humour. Paddy, who lives in Hertfordshire, runs two comedy clubs locally, The Great Dunmow Comedy Club and The Laughing Bishops Comedy Club in Bishop’s Stortford. Both run once a month and often sell out due to the top-quality comedians performing from the UK Comedy Circuit.

Finally, local rock cover band The Lackeys will headline the event with a range of hits from the 1950’s to the present day.

Paddy Lennox said, “I am delighted to be a part of this wonderful charity event. Grove Cottage mean a lot to the local community and I’m such a keen supporter of theirs I was thrilled to have the opportunity to get involved with this event.

“They do such amazing work and support so many local families by providing such a safe and fun environment for people with learning disabilities. I have no doubt the funds raised from the event will make a huge difference. I’m really looking forward to looking round all the food and drink stalls and taking to the stage myself.”
